Our goal as an organization is to build competitive traveling teams by teaching organized basketball. We encourage our players to maximize their efforts fundamentally and skillfully beyond normal expectations. We hope to instill in those that are beginners, fundamentals that will them better. And for those who become better, we will strive to make the Best! Training our players to be the best they can be. We don't want our players recognized for their athletic abilities. We want them to be known for developing fundamentally sound athletes. A great deal of: Dedication, Development, Desire, Determination, Discipline and Domination will be expected of each player.
Our teams will travel and play in selected AAU sanctioned tournaments that best fit our teams once a month, along with seasonal league play instead of the week to week grind!
Practice is a time to prepare for game situations and to make our teams better.
Practice is also a time to work on your skills and strengthen your weaknesses.
How we practice is how we will play, try hard to correct any bad habits or mistakes in previous games.
Mistakes are made from not being prepared in practice.
Practice is not a time for horseplay. Always pay attention, whether on the sideline or the bench.
Watch, listen and learn to what is taking place. Listening for instructions is crucial.
Concentration requires your undivided attention.
Players should pay attention to your coaches at all times and not be distracted by any crowd.
Don't get frustrated when you make a mistake. Ask for instructions on how to do it right.
You can learn from your mistakes in practices or defeats, so don't get discouraged.
Frustration clouds your judgement and causes you to make mistakes. Keep a cool head.
Don't become comfortable with making mistakes or losing.
You are playing for your team and not the crowd; if this becomes a problem, you will join the crowd.
All we ask is that you give 100% in every practice and game.
Lackadaisical efforts tell the coaches youre not ready to play.
Quitters never become winners.
Playing scared or in fear will cause you to make mistakes in pressure situations, giving your opponents an edge.
Giving your opponent an advantage is losing half of the battle.
You're only intimidated if you allow yourself to be intimidated.
If you have no confidence in yourself, you have been twice defeated in the game. With confidence you have won before the game has even started.
Develop killer instincts, play strong at all times and never give your opponent a chance.
Displays of any type of attitude will not be tolerated!
Attitudes are disruptive to your teammates and coaches.
When summoned to come out of a game or practice drill, no display of attitude will be tolerated. Exchange information with your teammate and go directly to the coach for instructions.
Disrespect to parents, school or sports officials, coaches or any authoritative figure will result in a game suspension.
We must put our ego's aside.
Coach with a passion to win, but not by any means.
We should maintain a professional attitude, not abusive or aggressive.
Cursing, grabbing, pulling or shoving on any player will not be tolerated.
Do not make an example out of a player just to prove a point.
Do not belittle, berate or embarrass any player.
Treat each player as if they were your own child.
Do not allow the players actions to overtake our emotions.
Do not destroy any player's confidence when criticizing them, build them up with encouragement. Constant bickering and griping will only discourage them.
We cannot let our actions destroy our image.
How we interact with the kids will reflect on the organization.
How we carry ourselves speaks loudly in the community, leaving a lasting and strong impression on our players, parents, the public and most importantly the community.
